UPHWO Members
UPHWO is composed of a diverse and dedicated team of members, who share the vision and mission of the organization. UPHWO members include:
- The Board of Directors: The Board of Directors is the highest governing body of UPHWO. It is responsible for setting the strategic direction, policies, and budget of the organization. It also oversees the performance and accountability of the management and staff. The Board of Directors is composed of seven members, who are elected by the General Assembly for a four-year term. The Board of Directors meets at least twice a year, and elects its Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer from among its members.
- The General Assembly: The General Assembly is the supreme decision-making body of UPHWO. It is composed of all the registered and active members of the organization. The General Assembly meets once a year, and approves the annual report, financial statements, and action plan of the organization. It also elects the Board of Directors and the External Auditor, and amends the statutes and bylaws of the organization.
- The Management Team: The Management Team is responsible for the day-to-day operations and implementation of the programs and activities of UPHWO. It is led by the Executive Director, who is appointed by the Board of Directors for a four-year term. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors, and supervises the staff and volunteers of the organization. The Management Team also includes the Program Manager, the Finance Manager, the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, and the Communication and Advocacy Manager, who coordinate the different departments and units of the organization.
- The Staff and Volunteers: The Staff and Volunteers are the backbone of UPHWO. They are the ones who carry out the programs and activities of the organization, in collaboration with the partners and beneficiaries. They are recruited based on their skills, experience, and commitment to the values and principles of UPHWO. They are also trained and supported to enhance their professional and personal development. UPHWO has a total of 26 staff members and 120 volunteers, who work in the headquarter and the field offices of the organization.
